In my previous post I forgot to mention that shortly before I retired I managed to get a new appendix "Index of supported instructions" added to the HLASM Programmer's Guide. It is based on the instruction index in my "HLASM z/Architecture Instruction Set Overview" and was generated using a program from the HLASM OPCODE(LIST) information and appendix B.2 of Principles of Operation. It lists a table of reference information about all machine and assembler instructions supported by HLASM, indicating the OPTABLE level at which each one was introduced or modified, which is useful information that cannot be found in the Reference Summary:
