Yes, I looked on the thread and understand your sigh. It would not be terribly difficult to offer both and since it appears that development on Mail::SPF::Query has ceased it's uncertain if it will support SPF 2.0 (Sender ID) anytime soon.
On the other hand SPF 2.0 isn't widely implemented and features like local policy, fallback, and override domains offered in Mail::SPF::Query are useful in the current implementation. I don't see any rush to make the switch.
