Has anyone else noticed their log files being renamed incorrectly at the end of the log cycle? Twice now this has happened to me recently. I have LogRollDays set to 1 day, so I get a new log file each day. Basically what has happened is that at the end of the day the log file will be renamed to the following day's date, instead of the date the log file was actually for. This means that when the next days log file gets renamed from maillog.txt to the dated version, it overwrites the previous days log.
This is the first entry in the log for Feb. 19th. Feb-19-08 00:51:22 new log file -- old log file renamed to 'logs/08-02-19.maillog.txt' The old log file was the log file for the 18th, and as you see it was renamed incorrectly. So at the end of day for the 19th, the log was overwritten. There's nothing wrong with the date on the computer and nothing else on the system (besides Windows Updates) has changed. I first noticed it around version 14.5 and thought it was just a fluke. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
