tried to install the latest one (from site), started up
just fine... took some time to initialize threads (as
usual) but came up; after about 5 minutes I got the

notice that 12:07:24 .. 12:08:23 during that minute, ASSP was not
answering to telnet
on port 25; then it logged those "connection timeout" errors, and, after
those started
logging those "IO-subsystem error" messages almost continuously (and
changing
worker #) and then it got totally stuck and I had to manually kill the
process

I'm using ActivePerl 5.8.8 on Windows 2003; here's the output for

notice that all the required modules are installed and available,
I checked that and ASSP logged all "ok" for the modules, so as
far as I can tell it shouldn't be a "missing module" issue; yet the
"hangup" on connections timing out and the "IO poll" error are
really nasty; I rolled back to 1.5.1 for the moment although God
knows I'd really love to try the 2.0
