Hi all, These days, I received many claim from my users said that they didn't receive mails from their partner as usually.
I checked ASSP's log and found that valid emails from our well known partner (I guess you're too) such as IBM, DHL (dhl.com) or Motorola (mot.com) can't get into my system because ASSP said that : 09-10-01.maillog.txt:Oct-1-09 21:59:01 [MissingMX] 216.82.253.51 < nob...@clear.mot.com> to:x...@xxxx MX cluster3a.us.messagelabs.com has wrong IP <> 09-10-01.maillog.txt:Oct-1-09 21:59:01 [MissingMX] 216.82.253.51 < nob...@clear.mot.com> to: x...@xxxx MX [scoring] MX missing: clear.mot.com 09-10-01.maillog.txt:Oct-1-09 21:59:01 [MissingMXA] 216.82.253.51 < nob...@clear.mot.com> to: x...@xxxx [spam found] (missing MX and A record) [xxxxxxxxx]; 09-10-01.maillog.txt:Oct-1-09 15:38:45 [MissingMXA] 199.40.206.33 < dhl_connect_cli...@apis.dhl.com> to: x...@xxxx [spam found] (missing MX and A re cord) [DHL CONNECT PREALERT ADVISORY]; 09-10-02.maillog.txt:Oct-2-09 15:02:57 [MissingMXA] 202.81.31.147 < x...@vn.ibm.com> to: x...@xxxx [spam found] (missing MX and A record) [xxxxxxxx]; I can be sure that these connections and mails are valid and were sent from their mail systems. I also check the their DNS (at my ASSP server) and I haven't found any problem with their DNS. One thing I'm still confusing is some of my partners are using "HOSTED SERVICE" (i.e: HOSTED Exchange SERVICE or SYMANTEC HOSTED SERVICE) for their mail systems. And I found something "new" about the MX DNS set-up of them as below: apis.dhl.comINMXpreference:10exchange:cluster10a.us.messagelabs.com300s (00:05:00) apis.dhl.comINMXpreference:5exchange:cluster10.us.messagelabs.com 300s(00:05:00) canonical name cluster10 <http://www.cluster10.us.messagelabs.com/>.us<http://www.us.messagelabs.com/> .messagelabs.com <http://www.messagelabs.com/>. aliases addresses 216.82.253.99 216.82.242.99 216.82.242.115 216.82.250.115cluster10.us.messagelabs.comINMXpreference:10exchange: mail160.messagelabs.com900s(00:15:00) cluster10.us.messagelabs.comINMX preference:10exchange:mail127.messagelabs.com900s(00:15:00) cluster10.us.messagelabs.comINMXpreference:10exchange: mail131.messagelabs.com900s(00:15:00) cluster10.us.messagelabs.comINMX preference:10exchange:mail132.messagelabs.com900s(00:15:00) Does anybody have this problem? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us!
