The beginning of the file is somehow stripped. However, Internet Explorer will download it correctly. Comparing the downloaded version from IE vs Firefox led me to the conclusion that for whatever reason the beginning of the file is being stripped away when it is downloaded in Firefox. Maybe something similar is happening when ASSP tries to download itself from Sourceforge. Firefox is not installed on the server where ASSP resides.
