around line 500 (508 in my version - 513 in Dale's version) of bombre.txt
- there is a line
subject\:.{1,20} at \$.{1,20}\ref\:\d\d\d\
change this to:
subject\:.{1,20} at \$.{1,20}ref\:\d\d\d
seems to be a very very old mistake in that file
