I am still seeing this problem occurring occasionally. When spam is being forwarded to my EmailSpam address, it will get through the sending of the message, but after the mail client sends the LF - . - LF "end of message" sequence - ASSP never responds - it just sits there until the connection times out, and the message send fails. ASSP logs look like this:
Nov-19-10 13:36:10 FS-91770-04844 [Worker_2] 12.34.56.78 <sen...@domain.com> email: combined spam & whitelist report Nov-19-10 13:36:13 FS-91773-03068 [Worker_7] 12.34.56.78 Connection idle for 45 secs - timeout Nov-19-10 13:36:13 [Worker_7] Disconnected: 12.34.56.78 - command list was 'EHLO,AUTH,RSET,MAIL FROM,RCPT TO,DATA' - used 12 SocketCalls I can change the recipient of the email to a valid email address on my mail server, and the message goes through fine. It is only when it is processing messages to EmailSpam that this happens - and only on the occasional message. However, if a message causes this problem, it will cause it EVERY time - i.e. it doesn't matter how many times you try to send that specific message, it will fail EVERY time, while other messages will be processed normally. I tried altering the content of the message, to lengthen or shorten it, to see if it was falling across some boundary that was causing problems - but this made no difference. So it appears it's something with the content (or specifically - the domains or email addresses contained) within the message itself. I set up my IP address to debug when the problem was happening, and here is an example of what I am seeing. This is representative of the problem - the same thing happens every time. You see it processing the addresses, then it gets an "<interrupted" and stops processing. I have a full debug file if you want to see it. >Nov-19-10 13:57:47 [Worker_6] <ListReportBody >Nov-19-10 13:57:47 [Worker_6] <doing line <[CR][LF] > >Nov-19-10 13:57:47 [Worker_6] <ListReportBody >Nov-19-10 13:57:47 [Worker_6] <doing line <.[CR][LF] > >Nov-19-10 13:57:47 [Worker_6] <ListReportBody >Nov-19-10 13:57:47 [Worker_6] <ListReportGetAddr >Nov-19-10 13:57:47 [Worker_6] <ListReportExec - report-s...@domain.com >Nov-19-10 13:57:47 [Worker_6] <localmail - report-s...@domain.com >Nov-19-10 13:57:47 [Worker_6] <localdomains - domain.com >Nov-19-10 13:57:47 [Worker_6] <matchSL - report-s...@domain.com - EmailAdmins >Nov-19-10 13:57:47 [Worker_6] <ListReportExec - i...@domain2.com[cr][lf] >Nov-19-10 13:57:47 [Worker_6] <localmail - i...@domain2.com >Nov-19-10 13:57:47 [Worker_6] <localdomains - domain2.com >Nov-19-10 13:57:47 [Worker_6] <matchSL - i...@domain2.com - EmailAdmins >Nov-19-10 13:57:47 [Worker_6] <ListReportExec - anita_k...@techie.com >Nov-19-10 13:57:47 [Worker_6] <localmail - anita_k...@techie.com >Nov-19-10 13:57:47 [Worker_6] <localdomains - techie.com >Nov-19-10 13:57:47 [Worker_6] <localLDAPdomain - techie.com >Nov-19-10 13:57:47 [Worker_6] <matchSL - anita_k...@techie.com - EmailAdmins >Nov-19-10 13:57:47 [Worker_6] <matchSL - sen...@domain.com - EmailAdmins >Nov-19-10 13:57:47 [Worker_6] <Whitelist anita_k...@techie.com,sen...@domain.com,delete >Nov-19-10 13:57:48 [Worker_6] <interrupted >Nov-19-10 13:57:48 [Worker_6] <interrupted - data from MainThread >Nov-19-10 13:57:48 [Worker_6] <NewSMTPConnectionConnect >Nov-19-10 13:58:53 [Worker_6] <IO::Socket::INET=GLOB(0x2b06a76c) 12.34.56.78 l=35 >Nov-19-10 13:58:53 [Worker_6] <wrote: IO::Socket::INET=GLOB(0x2b06a76c) 12.34.56.78 (35)<451 Connection timeout, try later[CR][LF] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Beautiful is writing same markup.
