I had problems using the IO::Poll engine with strawberry Perl 5.20.1 on all my different windows systems. The IO::Select engine was working 100% right - but it has some limitations. So, I switched to ActivePerl 5.20.1 - it works. But I had to fix and provide some unavailable module installations.
If Strawberry Perl is working for you - use it! >I've got ActiveState 5.20 running in the lab- do you think it should be replaced. Bring it uptodate - that's it. Thank you Can you explain the benefit / differences between using your release, ActiveState's, and/or Strawberry? I've got ActiveState 5.20 running in the lab- do you think it should be replaced.
