Now that makes sense ! I didnt check to see if sendmail was down. I was stuck thinking if ASSP was reporting the error then it was ASSP that was broke ...
If this happens again I'll check sendmail and see if I can mail directly to its port, and if still stuck will provide more detailed info as reqested.
