Hi all, Question about the move2num.pl script:
I'm currently running more than one instance of ASSP; one on a server running an opensource mail program, and another running a commercial email program. They serve different domains, with similar email patterns. The commercial side has far fewer users and they don't report spam as often, therefore the corpus does not react as quickly to changes in spam patterns. I've got a script which copies the spamdb from the non-commercial to the commercial nightly, and that helps a lot. I was considering using Matti Haack's spamcontroll script to periodically move notspam (and maybe some spam) from the commercial server to the opensource server so it can be properly included in the spamdb rebuilds. The quantity is low enough that it wouldn't be much of a strain to do so manually every now and again. The commercial server is currently set to use subject lines as filenames, whereas the opensource server uses numbers. What happens when I move it over and run move2num.pl? If I'm already at or above the 18k emails I have set as maxfiles on the opensource server, does it just throw the new ones out? Throw the oldest ones out? Randomly throw some out? Just curious.
