It does sound like RAM but we have the same amount of ram with 600-700mb in use and we don't see any problem. Why are you setting a time to finish for your scheduled task? Maybe let it run to completion. Also, are you still running 10 appx instances on the same box? Are they all sharing the same spamDB and corpus? We have an old Dell server with dual PIII 733mhz with 1Gb PC133 ram and raid 1 drives that only takes 30 minutes with 20,000 spam and 20,000 notspam files but only 5000 in max bytes, creating a 9MB spamDB file and a value of 494980 in rebuild.mt. The server is running ASSP 1.2.4(4), 2 AV SMTP gateway apps, 1 SMTP router app, and 1 MTA (Imail). Due to our low mail flow (daily 10k connections, 3k deliveries) the server is usually resting peacefully.
