I don't know if I am the only one that runs into this issue, so I am looking
to see if anyone else would find this feature useful.

I use a lot of virtual desktops, and consequently tend to have several
windows open on my PC. Sometimes, I even have several windows to the ASSP
interface open. One problem I have found recently is that if I have a few
ASSP windows open, and I make changes to the settings in one window, and
then make changes in the second window without first refreshing, I have old
settings which end up overwriting new settings.

The obvious solution is refresh the ASSP window before making any changes,
but like I said, I sometimes forget, and/or switch between windows and don't
realize it.

So what I am thinking / proposing is to have a hidden serial number (similar
to DNS) for the config file that would be in the web interface. ASSP in
turn would only allow you to update settings if the serial number submitted
is the same (or newer) as that from the config file. This would prevent you
from accidentally submitting an old page which erases newer settings.

Is this something you would find useful? Or is it just me? :)

Thanks,

Eric
