Ditto. eBay and PayPal are two of the principal reasons that I added
that functionality. Softfail blocking works wonders - and anyone that
has improper softfail SPF records can simply adjust accordingly.
Although I admittedly have had instances where softfail blocking has
temporarily blocked some legitimate mail, it was left to the sender to
properly implement/modify their *own* SPF records. The impact has been
extremely minor, and the end results have significantly outweighed any
minor/sporadic miss-configured domain issues - issues which could not be
blamed on me (the recipient), but the configuration of the senders SPF
records.
