but I had hermes.buddyshare.org in there until after I sent this
original email.... I figured that might be causing it. I had this
failure a few days ago (and possibly more, I don't go over every log)
and put it in there thinking if it thought it was my server it would
work. Now I realize that it is banning anything that shows in this
field because I shouldn't be getting mail from my own server. I also
put hermes in the "don't block this helo" just a few minutes ago. The
error obviously was the user at the end of this keyboard. I've only
been using for about a week or so, so I'm still getting use to all the
settings.
It was correct to put hermes.buddyshare.org in the myServerRe field
("Possible Forged Helo List*").
ASSP should block incoming mails from untrusted servers that identify
themselves with this helo.
The problem was probably that ASSP didn't know that this server was the
correct/trusted server using that helo.
So the ip for hermes.buddyshare.org should have been in either
"ISP/Secondary MX Servers*" or "Accept all mail".
And of course hermes.buddyshare.org should not be in "Don't block these
HELO's*" to have the forged helo test working.
