It would just be good if there was some standard that we could follow, so that from the get go 3rd party developers (like Graziano with ASSP DeLuxe for cPanel) can start adding extra features and functionality to ASSP. ASSP Deluxe's log viewer is pretty great, but it gets horribly broken if any logging options are changed.
