Blocking attachment over a specified size is still necessary, but usually done by the mail server itself. I do think that the idea of putting the attachment somewhere and providing a link to it for a specified period of time, that will be for sure a really great feature.

Those attachment blocking "features" are from stoneage. They are not necessary anymore.
