Of course I meant that if passwords are exchanged then encryption makes 
sense. But indeed it would be best to have it connected to the local 
network, using VPN if necessary (preferably a local server), so you have 
one less port opened up to the whole internet. A VPN is encrypted so no 
worries about that anymore.
