I'm guessing you are using basic file-type blocking.  Is there more to it than 
that?  If so please share!

I don't use file-type blocking in ASSP but don't see any viruses in any case - 
I have an Exchange-level AV system that catches them fairly rarely.
However, I like levels of redundancy and feel like you can't have too many AV 
scanners ;-)

I have been told on the ClamAV Mailing List that there's a major bug in the 
release of ClamAV I'm running so I just subscribed to the volatile repository, 
updated clamav and clamd, told ASSP to restart 10 seconds after reboot (timing 
issue) and it's working as it should now!

As a side note, I am curious why use clamav or another dedicated virus 
detector? I have noticed that with a properly configured ASSP I see no 
virus emails coming through at all. To me, for now, it seems to be not 
worth the extra effort.
