Hello list,
First of all, I would like to thank all the people who helped me
on the upgrade issue. I did _not_ know there was an "install.txt" file.
Reading that file, I found out how silly of me it was to keep asking the
same questiong.
However, the alzheimer has, indeed, advanced ( ;-) and I have to say
that I almost LOST my v1.4.3.1 assp folder due to the fact that I
was careless. "What happened ?" I hear you asking. . . Well, I had two
directories installed on my mail server : one was called "assp_v1.4.3.1"
(the old sources upgrade directory, let's call it. . .) and the other
was the actuall "assp" folder. I wanted to do some housekeeping and I
thought convenient to start deleting the ACTUALL WORKING folder !
"So, what happened?" I hear you ask again. I managed to recover the
essentials :
"spam" was still untouched
"notspam" was still untouched
and upgraded to v1.5.1.1 and got "assp.cfg" (which was gone, sorry to
say) from the old mailserver box that was still laying around waiting
to be written-off.
Anyway, all went fine (as far as I can tell).
Here's a question for you kind people:
Eventhough I checked all the relevant perl modules, _before_ I started
upgagrading from v1.4.3.1 to v1.5.1.1 (oooh ! that's surprising! :-),
I checked the "ASSP information and statistics" page to find out that
some of them are missing. More specifically :
Email::Send - sending .eml files is not available
IO::Socket::INET6 - IPv6 support not available
IO::Socket::SSL - SSL support disabled
Text::Iconv - kyrillic charset converter not available
Net::SenderBase - countrycode checks not available
Tie::RDBM - mysql usage not available
also , not available is the clam module :
File::Scan::ClamAV - not installed
If I try to install it, it says
"Running make test
Make had some problems, won't test
Running make install
Make had some problems, won't install"
Anyway, I am not interested so in "ClamAV" as I am interested
in the rest of the modules.
Any ideas people ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Running Slackware Linux v12.2.0 with 2Gb of RAM (DDR2),
a Core Duo @2,6GHz on an Asus motherboard with an IDE/ATAPI
Hitachi 80Gb HDD.
TIA,
spyros
