Hello ASSP users.
How do I tell the type of download that is listed at SF, if it is alpha, beta,
final, testing, etc, based on the version name?

If that is not possible, where can I go to get this information and know that
it is up to date. For example, if I only ever wanted to download official and
stable final releases, how would I determine that?

If there is no convention, would it be possible to start using one, perhaps
where the letter a, b, fc, gm, etc are used in the file name to differentiate?

As I try to get more people to use ASSP, many are not the type to join the
mailing list, so I get the emails back from them with questions, and I try to
help. I asked before, and did not see a reply, though I may have missed it.

http://assp.sourceforge.net/
ASSP 1.6.1.2!
I do not see that as a download file at: (
http://sourceforge.net/projects/assp/files/ )

Also, given a version such as this: 1.7.1.1 (1.0.00)
Can someone explain to me each part? I need to parse the version string in
hopes of determining the release state, so knowing the method may be helpful.
It seems there are always 4 parts to the primary version, but I do not
understand the 3 parts to the parenthesized version.

Thank you ASSP'ers
