My setup
~~~~~~~~
ASSP: 1.9.4.3
Perl: 5.14.2
OS: Debian/Testing
MTA: Postfix 2.9.3
ASSP listens on port 25. ASSP hands off the email to postfix on 10025.
I have some virtual domains that are setup in postfix and everything worked
fine with SPF enabled.
I added another virtual domain to the mix. The users of this new domain
were going to forward email from their existing domain. Sending directly
the new domain was working properly. Email forwarded from the old
domain was getting rejected by ASSP because of SPF.
Here is the error that is received by the sender of the forwarded email.
Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the
recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for
further information about the cause of this error. The error that the
other server returned was: 500 500
Mail appears to be unsolicited according to ASSP -- send error
reports to postmaster@<yourdomain>.com, replacing <yourdomain> with
your actual domain. (state 17).
If I disable checking for SPF, everything works fine, no email is
rejected, but I get a ton more junk email then I used to before.
Any thoughts, suggestion, need more information ? I am sure I'm
configuring things incorrectly.
cheers,
mehul
