If there is no connection to see on the slave:
- check that the master is able to resolve the host name of the slave and
via vers
- if you use host names in the sync config - make sure that both , the
master and the slave are able to resolve its own and the others host name
and to resolve the PTR for the IP that connects - the PTR must match the
host name of the configured syncpeer in every case!
- to simplify the config - try use IP addresses

This line indicates a simple IP connection or Perl module error.
Notice that at least the Perl module 'Net::SMTP' must be installed (seems
to be the case)! If TLS (STARTTLS) should be used, the Perl module
'Net::SMTP::TLS' is required.

I can connect to the MTA through spam-av-filter2.sma.com:5025 with
telnet.
