I don't see how could be a malformed UTF-8 charcter here.

Dear List,
i'm running version 2.4.1(14097) on a FreeBSD 8.4 system with Perl 5.16.3.
During rebuildspamdb the process sometimes crashes with the following
error:
Error: rebuildspamdb failed - Malformed UTF-8 character (fatal) at
/opt/assp/lib/rebuildspamdb.pm line 1838.
If i delete the "bad" email according to the rebuilddebug.txt the process
finishes just fine.
Also from time to time the Worker processes are stuck in the
"ThreadGetNewCon" state and eating a lot of CPU. Altough they are still
processing incoming emails i guess this is not normal behaviour. If i kill
the assp process during a stuck state i get the following error in the
log:
[Worker_1] Error: Worker_1: Malformed UTF-8 character (fatal) at sub
main::BayesWords line 17.
I'm not sure where this UTF-8 error comes from so i would be really glad
to get some ideas or help from the community.
