We had to develop our own solution for billing and provisioning. We are happy so far with the system, because it gives to the user real time info about their calls, and also because allows you to create an affiliatte program (where each user receives a percentage of money on calls for each user that signed up on his name).

We think that the system is good enoguh, better that other solutions we saw on external customers. In fact, the system allows you to identify on the system using a PIN+PASSW. You can use that PIN+PASS from any SIP phone, or to use it as a CALLING CARD system, and also use the same data for your calls info.

Now that we already create the system, it could be a good idea to donate it to the open source community. I think that we can create a web site, and provide the source, and maybe, charge only for modifications / personalizations or advanced assistan/suppervision on installation, but the program is currently only on spanish, and we would like to have some time to make it multilingual, and also to provide basic installations instructions. That is not one of our priorities now, but if there is enought interest on the * community we can change priorities and start the project.

If anyone has any suggestion of how is the best the way to coordinate and setup a open proyect site for website this (i.e, a Mambo / Drupal, etc), any suggestion, or proposal, please let me known.

Asunto: [asterisk-biz] Prepaid Phone Cards + Asterisk: Opinions on Open Source Billing Software

Does anyone here have any experience with any open-source billing platforms that plug into Asterisk?

We are looking for a full-featured open source billing solution and platform that is easy to use..

We're hoping to deploy our own pre-paid calling card/virtual calling card platform using Asterisk. We need a way to restrict access to our switch based on caller ID and PIN. Also need call detail logs, and the ability to let end-user view call history, etc

Any opinions on which solution is the bests?

Many Thanks,

Jason McBreeden
