Marshall,

Firstly, when replying to the list please do not include the entire
digest. It is kinda pointless and annoying. Now to your question:

eNum is a method of mapping e164 numbers (phone numbers) to internet
resources (SIP/IAX Url, eMail ) via the existing internet Domain Name
System (DNS).

Advantages:
No need for platform development, Any Linux box running bind will do.
Heirachrical Structure. sub-zones (area codes, and exchanges) can
be offset to other systems and reduce administration of the root system.

Disadvantages:
setup can be a bit complex and requires detailed planning. A good
DNS Guru would be well worth knowing.
Not really intended for small scale (like driving a MAC truck to
the corner store for a quart of milk)

I'm not entirely sure how to use eNum (exclusively) as a internet call
business. Its a tool not a business plan. That's like building an
entire business model around a hammer or screwdriver.
