codec_g729a now comes with a license. I find it a bit odd that these terms are there but maybe someone from digium can address my concerns.
2.1 Subject to your compliance with its obligations herein, Digium hereby grants you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable license to the Software for use with Zaptel software for internal business purposes and not for resale, sublicense, or leasing to third-parties. Since it states you cant resell or transfer, does this mean system integrators cant add this on to systems they deploy? You can only use it for "internal business purposes", does this mean that you cant use it if you are an ITSP allowing calls that are clearly not internal? What about hobbyists? are they now forbidden from using it since that is not a business purpose? Ahh the questions go on, but these seemed to be some of the biggest. -- Trixter http://www.0xdecafbad.com Bret McDanel Belfast +44 28 9099 6461 US +1 516 687 5200 http://www.trxtel.com the phone company that pays you! _______________________________________________ --Bandwidth and Colocation Provided by http://www.api-digital.com-- asterisk-biz mailing list To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-biz
