I concur that it is the status quo, at least for the most part. Gregory appears to also with his comment elsewhere about how its because people will pay it. This largely makes me curious as to what Jay's answer is. While there is a certain price range that most consumers will pay, too much and they wont see the value, too little and they will perceive it as inferior even if its not, this applies to almost all products so its not a hardware or telephony related thing, instead a general marketing thing. This probably does influence it a bit, although how its marketed, to which group of consumers is what sets this range. I was also led to believe that it was more of a telephony specific reason as to why its so expensive though. -- Trixter http://www.0xdecafbad.com Bret McDanel Belfast +44 28 9099 6461 US +1 516 687 5200 http://www.trxtel.com the phone company that pays you! _______________________________________________ --Bandwidth and Colocation Provided by http://www.api-digital.com-- asterisk-biz mailing list To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-biz
