More on this. I've noticed that I'm getting the following in asterisk's message log

Apr 8 22:32:36 WARNING[1789]: CallerID returned with error on channel 'Zap/1-1'Apr 9 10:37:56 WARNING[45309]: CallerID returned with error on channel 'Zap/1-1'
Apr 9 22:18:12 WARNING[19145]: CallerID returned with error on channel 'Zap/1-1'
I have searched and searched. I've found more complaints but, no fixes. Anyone got any ideas?
Is there away to debug the modem .. minicom or something? Found some pages that talk of using windows terminal and mgety however, I can't seem to get a response from my modem via Minicom (It's an X101P).

Are you using Asterisk in a business environment or for home? I am wondering whether the FreeBSD/Asterisk solution is reliable enough yet to use in business, and if it works for us, we could even offer it as a package to our (smaller) customers.

I haven't got that far yet for caller ID, but have you gotten Asterisk working with any local VOIP providers? Anyone you've found good to work with?
