if you don't have any line cards, do you have ztdummy loaded to provide
timing ?
Thanks for the suggestions, but it seams my problem is not asterisk related - but caused by a feature of the Thomson Speedtouch 2030 sip phone called:
"Voice Activity Detection (VAD)"
This "feature" isn't compatible with asterisk an has to be disabled.
