Thanks for your prompt reply. I guess I have two problems:
1. I did use the make install clean method to try and install the gui.
2. When I looked in the /usr/ports/www/asterisk-gui/work/ folder there was no
file named bootstrap.sh
Can you please elaborate further?

Hi there!
You have to edit manually the bootstrap.sh in the work directory. I think
/usr/ports/www/asterisk-gui/?work?/?? so, there… J where the bootstrap.sh
is. And u see the env set to 259, but u have to change it, to -2.59 and also
change the next line to –x.xx, don’t remember what is! And one more
thing, don’t use portinstall again, because it will clean your edited
bootsrap.sh, do instead:
cd /usr/ports/www/asterisk-gui
make instal clean
I hope this will help you out!

Subject: [Asterisk-bsd] Asterisk GUI Woes
Hey there everyone,
I'm running FreeBSD-6.2-RELEASE and I updated the ports and then the sources
and did a make buildworld, etc...to have p7 running with my new compacted
kernel. All is well.
I built asterisk-1.4.9 and then built the asterisk-addons. All of that went
well although I haven't tried to run * on this new server yet because my older
* server is doing fine for now.
I really want to try out the new asterisk-gui so I tried to build it from the
newly updated port, but I got this error message when it runs:
Making install in tests
install-info --quiet /usr/local/info/automake-1.9.info /usr/local/info/dir
===> Registering installation for automake-1.9.6_2
===> Returning to build of asterisk-gui-0.0.1r200720
===> Configuring for asterisk-gui-0.0.1r200720
autoconf259: not found
Please install autoconf259 and run bootstrap.sh again!
*** Error Code 1
Stop in /usr/ports/www/asterisk-gui
*** Error Code 1
Stop in /usr/ports/www/asterisk-gui
Can anyone tell me how to fix this? I updated the ports and sources just today
when I built this server. Everything else appears to be running fine on it.
