There is an alternative.  Svncommunity exists for backports that won't
be added to the current release, due to feature freeze.  I've been
keeping the backports of func_odbc and app_stack-with-arguments in
svncommunity.  Func_odbc will be added to the mainline distribution
starting with 1.4, and the arguments feature of app_stack will be in
the release following 1.4 (presumably 1.6).

Let me know if this is something you'd be willing to do, and I'll get
the ball rolling about getting you access to your own repo.  Note that
your disclaimer covers any submission to svncommunity.
