Hey all -

Since there hasn't been much feedback on the TEST-Asterisk repo that
is currently in gerrit [1] [2], I'm going to take that as a sign that
"all is well" and start the migration of Asterisk to Git next week.
We've already summarized some of the steps that will need to happen
for this to conclude [3]; expect to start seeing that happen early
next week.

The largest implication of this is that on Monday, April 13th, commit
access to the SVN repos will be disabled. Since we'll have most things
ready to go, I don't expect there to be much more than a day of
downtime as we push the branches up to Gerrit, but things could always
go sideways. In any case, patience with the process will be
appreciated :-)

If there's anything you'd like to help out with, please jump in
#asterisk-dev on Monday so we can coordinate effectively between
everyone.

Thanks!

Matt
