Hello,

good decision. The Kamailio project also does it that way. It makes it also 
easier to do a diff in case of missing cherry-picks etc..

After thinking about it over the weekend, we've decided to reverse the order of 
cherry-picks.  Instead of creating PRs for the lowest branch and  
cherry-picking upwards, create them for the master branch and cherry-pick 
downwards.   There were a few good reasons brought up on IRC but there are also 
some GitHub automations that only run on a repository's master /main branch.  
The few existing PRs can remain as they are.
