Hi, I'm using 1.6.1.0-rc2 and encountered the same thing. I just added "type=friend" to the top of users.conf so that it applies to all users (and peers) defined in the file.
I guess the GUI ideally needs to add a relevant type into each entry. Since this update (from 1.6.1-rc1) all phones (one wlan phone and a granstream gxw4004) stopped registering with Asterisk. After I manually added "type = friend" to the entries in the users.conf file, the phones are able to register again. Outgoing calls aren't possible yet, I guess a "type=" also needs to be added to the voip trunks I'm using. Is anybody else using 1.6.1-rc2? with kind regards, Stefan van der Eijk
