Rajesh,
Installing the GUI on *NOW 1.5 can be done using yum.
And call forwarding can be done in Asterisk. Its not an application or
anything. Its something that is developed in extensions.conf. Some people use
3rd party databases to store the info and others just use AstDB. In either
case, you basically just do a lookup and dial either the forwarding number if
its enabled, or the regular number if not.

Ryan,
Thanks, yes ofcourse its my opinion as you asked for, as for some its good and
for newbies to telecommunication like me its not so I just said what I thought,
whether it was good or bad idea is for you to decide. Ok about the call
forwarding could it be done from within the asterisk? can I do some hand
editing? If its feature in Asterisk as I cant find any documentation on
Voip-info wiki as well so if you could please guide me?

Rajesh,
Thanks for responding! However, telling me that separate won't confuse things
and will look nicer is an opinion and not really something we can discuss :-)
What are your reasons behind forming that opinion, those are things I'm looking
for and can discuss.
As for call forwarding, its on the list of things to do, but I'm in the middle
of an important project right now (not this project). I'm not stopping what I'm
doing to work on this calling rule idea, I'm just bringing it up to the
community to get some input on ways to improve usability.
Also, if you happen to run into any bugs, as it seems you have, please go to
bugs.digium.com and report the issues. Maybe others are having the same
problem? Also if it gets on the bug tracker then it can be tagged in the GUI
road map.

Ryan please do something for call forwarding instead incoming calling rules on
a separate is better as it wont confuse things and will look nicer. Also I
encountered adding multiple outgoing rules just doesn’t work only one outgoing
calling rules works from GUI.

Subject: [asterisk-gui] On Trunks and Incoming Calling Rules
Hey guys,
I'm currently in the process of organizing the core code and came across one of
the areas many users get confused with. Anyway, I was interested to hear the
thoughts on the idea of moving 'Incoming Calling Rules' into the 'Trunks' page.
It makes sense to me as Incoming Calling Rules is limited within the scope of
Trunks. I would guess that creating incoming calling rules is one of the most
common thoughts just after an admin has created a trunk, so having it right
there would be that much easier.
