Dear asterisk-ss7 list!

Some of you might know me since I've contacted you directly due to your posts in this list. Indeed, I am looking for SS7 transit services. This kind of service can only be provided by people/companies that have an SS7 link with international point codes.

Olivier didn't give me a chance to reply to his email and took me as a fraud. NiftyCell is a SpinOff of an existing GSM company in Switzerland and I would be happy to provide more information about the company and our needs if you'll contact me directly.

I have no idea how did Olivier traced my mail back to Brazil, but it might be due the fact that I am using gmail to send my emails.

If anyone has an International SS7 link, or can connect me to people in other telecommunication companies that have that kind of link, please contact me. We are willing to pay very nice sums of money for this kind of service, since not many companies can provide it. There cannot be any fraud here since the money that I'll pay is real and I can be always disconnected by the service provider.

Sorry for the trouble,

Best Regards,
Andrew Rose, VP BizDev.

P.S.

The website is still underconstruction. Hopefully it will be up soon. As you all know, trying to create something new always takes time and you have to work on many layers. Website is one layer. SS7 links is an other layer that I am taking care of. Hope you can help me with that.

You will find below an Email received out of list after having posted a question to the list.
After asking this guy more informations concerning his company, (address, person of contact,...), I have no more news from him.
Also, in there is no website for this company and having traced the mail, I found it comes from Brasil.

Hi Oliver!

Sorry for being so low on details. I am trying to verify (by asking some key questions) that you indeed have an SS7 connectivity of the type that can help us. Your location (Brussels) is 100% fine for our demands. I have few other questions though.

  1. What are your international point codes? (This will help us to verify that you have international connectivity)
  2. Is the connection between you and the Telco can be set to be always International?
  3. What are your bandwidth capabilities in terms of signalling channel (D-Channel)?
SS7 transit service is to allow someone else to use the SS7 signalling channel of your SS7 link. The signalling channel is used by us to send different type of messages such as roaming, USSD and others. Please note that the voice channels are not used by us at all and by providing transit service on existing link we don't interrupt any of the operations that are done on that link.

I am VP Business Dev. of NiftyCell a new SpinOff of an existing GSM company in Switzerland. NiftyCell acts as a telephony broker and provides virtual roaming services. In order to be able to provide better service for our clients we are constantly seeking for additional connectivity and SS7 routing.

If you have an International SS7 link (please provide your point codes) with 1 signalling channels (64Kbps), we are willing to pay 8'000 euros per month for the transit services. At the first month we would like to test the connectivity first and since this will be only a testing stage we will be able to pay only 5'000 euros. If you have more then 1 singalling channel, we will talk about prices later on.

It would be great if you can answer the questions above. If something is not clear enough, please ask. I would be happy to provide you with all the answers.

Hello,
In fact, forget that question(dummy), it was due to a misunderstanding of how SS7 works.
Thanks,
Olivier

Hello Sir!

From your question it looks like you might have an access to an SS7 link with International point codes.

Am I correct?

Hello all,
Another question:
Is it possible to dynamically change the networkindicator to
international or national?
If yes, what is the command to be used in the dialplan?
Kind regards,
Olivier
