G729 is currently not available due to patent and license issues. You will find that G711 is fine on a local network, and asterisk does real well using IAX protocol and GSM codec. So if you are deploying enough phones to make it worth while to drop a * machine on the LAN with the hardphones you are set. Otherwise you might want to look at the Snom phone since it supports GSM. -- Steven Critchfield <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> _______________________________________________ Asterisk-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users _______________________________________________ Asterisk-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users
