I removed that entry, still no luck. I also altered the config to use a number (101) as the entry name instead. I get:
Got SIP response 404 "Not Found" back from 172.16.1.28 SIP/101-e9a4 is circuit-busy
on the console when I try to call it. sip show peers shows the node, with an OK status.

Try to remove the defaultip= string. Do you get any errors in the console when it is run in verbose mode?
