I have one. I initially hated it, but it grew on me a lot. I got a GXP2000 to replace it but never got around to it. I find the GXP2000 too limiting now. The thing that bugs me about the SPA841 still is the lack of backlight on the display. Oh, and get a decent $0.10 handset cord. The one that came with the SPA841 was pure nasty junk. I don't know if I'd recommend them. There is a lot of personal preference involved and the 841 certainly seems to be able to provoke strong dislike for people. > On 8/7/05, Paul Dugas <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > On Sun, August 7, 2005 1:15 pm, Thierry Wehr said: > > > This is not true > > > You have to switch to last firmware and/or disable silent > > > suppression > > > > I believe Thierry is not alone in having success with these units. > > I cannot explain it but my guess is that there are some > > inconsistencies in their hardware or something in the myriad of > > configuration setting is awry.
