The first time I asked this to the list I didn't do a great job of it so I'm posting again with more details.
Problem: when ringing multiple extensions, if one user has their phone forwarded directly to voicemail, it stops the whole group from ringing because the voicemail picks up immediately. Also, after hours incoming calls are to ring all extensions so anyone can pickup. But if one person in the office has their phone forwarded the same problem occurs. What we need is for asterisk, when ringing multiple extensions, to completely ignore the forward requests and just ring the remaining phones. Reading the source code I see there are two parameters for channels, allowredir_in & allowredir_out.
