Ok... I've tried doing a modprobe on ztdummy (after uncommenting it from the
makefile).   I've reloaded * and still no detectable change in the sound
quality.

I've also verified the integrity of layer 1&2 on the lan.  All boxes connect
100mb full duplex with no problems.

Any other thoughts?
