None of these steps have made a difference. Any other suggestions? Here is

Can anyone help me to figure out why I can not write to a public share? I

was able to join the domain without a problem.  I can access the share from

an xp box.   I just can not write: "Access denied".

If the person or process that is trying to write to the share is a member of a group that is denied access then the write will fail with "access denied". 

 

Check the "effective permissions" for a user on the file and look at the server security logs which may give you some additional information.
