Most SIP phones handle this functionality by recognizing numbers from speed dial or address book entries in the phone itself. I believe that the PolyCom SIP phones do this (IP430, IP501, IP601, IP650).

I hope that this is helpful.

I'm going to be rolling out asterisk at a small office and one requested

Does anyone have Asterisk experience with such a phone? Any suggestions
would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!!
