It seems to me that what you are really talking about is manipulating the display features of the phone. Caller ID is unlikely to have this effect
as the phone does not consider the From: URI in the SIP header unless the call is of an incoming nature. The solution to this is bound to be proprietary to the phone in some way or another--if there is one. I just wanted to point out that the mechanism for its delivery would almost certainly not be caller ID.
