So what, then, is the procedure to transfer a call from a POTS phone on the FXS port of an IAXy?

Any help is appreciated. Those features are triggered via DTMF, not using a protocol-level transfer. The IAXy uses IAX2 to talk to Asterisk, so doing a flash-hook on the IAXY's FXS port will cause the IAXy to create a new IAX2 channel and handle the transfer itself. -- Kevin P.
