Yes, volgain works fine, unfortunately it is only useful for emailed wav files. That's why I was trying to get the g(#) option to work. I suppose I could try to hack together a shell script using sox and call it from externnotify. Does anyone know if there are drawbacks to this approach? Any other thoughts or options?
