The refrigerators will have external outputs to trip relays (even if your customer doesn't know that), ask for the number of their refrigeration mechanic he will tell you how to get electrical/relay outputs for the alarms.
These are then connected to asterisk via an interface board so when something trips it results in an event in asterisk (check out the asterisk at home X10 configurations for some ideas), this will then result in a call with a number (or even better a recording being played), eg "meat fridge number 1" "at" "6" "degrees celcius" That's pretty much your answer :-) Regards, Dean Collins [EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> +1-212-203-4357 Ph +61-2-9016-5642 (Sydney in-dial). ________________________________ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Balu Raman Sent: Wednesday, 17 October 2007 4:47 PM To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: [asterisk-users] Refrigerator Alarms Hi, I want asterisk to call a person on the phone for monitoring the refrigerator storing vaccines.
