Which kind of "data" are you talking about? I suppose that you mean that you want to store non-Asterisk related data and CDR data in the same database. In this case, to handle CDR data you should use the cdr_mysql module, from asterisk-addons (http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+cdr+mysql), storing CDR data in a table of your choice.
