I'm using the Rhino R4FXO cards to answer incoming voice calls and just
had this idea last night... Is there any type of module for asterisk
that will divert a call to a softmodem? For example, I call in on the
voice lines, get the main menu, instead of dialing an extension to get a
person I dial an extension and am given modem tones. ( I basically want
to have a way to dial in to my offices without having to have dedicated
data lines and RAS servers. I know I could probably make this work by
sticking a modem in the box and using an FXS port to route to the call
to the modem, but that is messy, in my opinion, and I would like to
avoid that if possible. Is this at all possible? (I don't want to
route the data "audio" over IP. I know that would be largely impossible.)
